You Have to See GLEE!

So I have to admit, I am a little late catching onto the phenomenon that is Glee. I watched last year as Glee won a bunch of awards (along with Mad Men too, another new obsession of mine, but we’ll get back to that later, let’s just say there is no better way to spend 45 min after your kids go to bed then watching Jon Hamm… but back to Glee.)

I saw people tweeting about Glee and listened to my friends praise the hit show, but it wasn’t until my friend Joan told me about this season’s Britney themed episode, that I finally tuned in. We both used to love Britney (okay, fine, we still do) and she knew I would love it. I was instantly hooked! Two minutes in I started to record the episode because I knew my son would love to watch it the next day. My son B is two and a half and he loves “playing” Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and now Glee. We listen to the music, sing, dance, and jump around our living room with fake microphones. Now, while he doesn’t notice yet, I still fast forward any teenage make-out scenes, so keep that in mind for young children who may be aware of what’s happening on screen. One of B’s favorites is “Forget You”, the censored version of Cee-Lo’s hit song covered by the incredible Gwyneth Paltrow. Even if you aren’t a fan of Glee, I am sure you heard about Gwyneth’s guest spot as the quirky substitute Holly Holliday and rumor has it that Gwyneth has already signed on for a future episode. Now when we hear songs in the car that Glee has covered, B says “Watch Glee, Watch Glee!!” He can’t wait to get home and hear his new favorite songs. We just bought Glee: Volume 4 on iTunes and it has been on constant rotation in my car ever since. Make sure to check out Glee's all new episode airing Sunday night (Feb 6th) after the Super Bowl on Fox, or at it's regular night and time, Tuesday's at 8pm on Fox.
