Recap of my Volvo Biggest Fan Experience

This week for our final challenge, Volvo asked us to recap the Volvo Biggest Fan Experience. To be honest, while the competition and the season has been awesome, I am thinking the best is still yet to come.

 

First I will say, this season has been fun! Volvo has definitely made our house even more excited about Pitt basketball, which I didn’t think was even possible. We have always watched every game possible and even tweeted about it, but there has been definitely a different excitement this season. Maybe it is the fact that writing and tweeting could lead us to winning a Volvo S60?? ;)

 

Volvo has sent each person back to their alma mater for a “naughty” weekend back at school. Our first weekend was supposed to be in the beginning of January but due to a lack of help with child care, we had to reschedule. We debated bringing the children, but then the thought of driving the 6 hours with my energetic 2 year old and our 8 month old just seemed tough. We were thinking B would have loved the Pitt game, especially since that would add to his year of sporting events (Phillies game, Eagles game, Sixers Game, he still needs to check out a Flyers game…) Plus we didn’t have anyone to help with our dog.  

So luckily we were able to reschedule to this coming weekend. We are so excited! It is the end of the season, Pitt is actually coming off of two tough loses (after an excellent season) so it should be a great game against Villanova this weekend. Two of our close friends have also decided to go back to Pitt for the weekend, I won’t even tell you what they spent on tickets to the game ($600!! Ooops.) so it better be good! We already have set our entire agenda for the weekend, drive out on Friday… Dinner at Fuel and Fuddle and Peters after. Cant wait! Saturday night, dinner at my favorite Pittsburgh restaurant, Monterey Bay.

My sister, who is a junior at Pitt was going to be on Spring Break this weekend, so we weren’t even going to see her, but I actually found out today that she will be there Friday night, so now we are even more excited!!
